It started with a problem
60+ fruit trees on a property in eastern Washington. Apples, pears, cherries, peaches, plums, apricots — planted over several years with no real system to track any of it. Which varieties were where? Which ones pollinate each other? When was the last spray? What did last year's harvest actually look like?
Spreadsheets didn't cut it. Notebooks got lost. And nothing on the market did what we needed: combine a visual map of the property with the tracking tools to manage every aspect of plant care in one place.
So we built it ourselves.

What it became
What started as a personal project turned into something far bigger. The pollination intelligence engine — which checks bloom timing, S-allele genetic compatibility, and cross-pollination distance for every tree automatically — doesn't exist in any other consumer tool. The spray tracker integrates with the EPA's national pesticide database so you can search products by name and get real data. The cost tracker uses IRS Schedule F categories so your records are tax-ready.
We realized that if we needed these tools, other growers did too. Backyard gardeners tracking a handful of raised beds. Hobby orchardists managing 20 trees. Small-scale farmers who need spray compliance records and cost reports. Everyone was using the same patchwork of notebooks, spreadsheets, and memory.

What we believe
Good tools should be accessible to everyone who grows things — not just commercial operations with enterprise budgets. Arbora is free to use because we want every orchardist, gardener, and small-scale grower to have the same quality tools that used to require expensive software or agricultural consultants.
We're a small team that cares about two things: growing plants and building software that's genuinely useful. Arbora is designed to be fast, reliable, and respectful of your data. No ads, no data selling, no dark patterns. Just a tool that helps you take better care of your plants.
